National Emergency Services Museum is the worlds larges joint 999 museum showing an insight into all of our Emergency Services through hands-on learning with history. With over 50 vehicles on site from man and horse power to steam and motor, 3 floors of exhibits to explore, discover and learn including real Victorian Police Cells (including smells!) there really is something for all the family!

National Emergency Services Museum CIO is the charity behind this museum. The collection itself has been around since the early 1960’s and the charity was originally formed in the early 1980’s. The Aim of the Charity is to preserve and display the history of our Emergency Services as well as teach vital life safety through hands-on learning.


EDUCATION VISITS…

Our education visits are designed to teach vital life safety skills through hands-on learning with history!

Visits last for 4 hours and are based at the Museum it self in Sheffield and are mainly aimed at Key Stage 2 students learning about ‘People who help us’ and the ‘Great Fire of London‘.
